We expect The Address to set a new benchmark for upscale condominiums

Property developers AP Thailand (AP) and the Mitsubishi Estate have joined forces to build a £221m (US$278.8m, €250m) ultra-luxe development in Bangkok, Thailand.

Called "The Address Siam-Ratchathewi", the residences will comprise 880 one- to three-bedroom apartments and feature an array of indoor-outdoor amenity spaces, including a Technogym-equipped fitness centre, a rooftop infinity pool and terrace, a botanical garden, and several lounges.

Incorporating vibrant design cues from peacocks and what the developers have termed "classic French palace architecture", the property will also boast an Art Deco-like limestone façade.

"Our creative intent," said AP, "is to design the project’s interior and exterior for each residence to have a protruding cantilever so as to expand the beautiful view at the heart of the Ratchathewi location.”

Speaking on the project, Vittakarn Chandavimol, the company’s chief corporate officer of strategy and creation, explained: “We've spent eight years searching for a tract of land in the city centre – one with great value and great investment.

“The Address is the result, and we expect it to set a new benchmark for upscale condominiums.”

The development, which will start pre-sales on 8 June, is the 15th collaboration between AP and Mitsubishi.
