UAE-based property company Emaar Development has announced plans to create a new townhouse community in Dubai.

Called the "Arabian Stables III", the lifestyle-focused residential quarter will host myriad leisure facilities, including a lazy river, parkour course, skate park, barbeque areas, a health club, jogging tracks, a cricket pitch, and bike routes with links to the 86-kilometre-long Al Qudra Cycling Track.

The development will also feature a 30,000 sq m central park, 15 tennis courts, and a members' golf club.

Arabian Stables III is the latest addition to Emaar's expanding portfolio, which currently includes properties across Dubai.

Many are scheduled to open ahead of the city's 2020 Expo, an event the company's chairman, Mohamed Alabbar, has called a "vote of confidence in our city, our leadership and our people".
