The future of wellness travel and how to gain a competitive edge within the booming sector will feature heavily at this year’s Wellness Travel Symposium (WTS).

Organised by The Global Wellness Institute (GWI), the two-day event will shine the spotlight on the latest research, trends and best practices in the rapidly growing wellness travel sector. WTS will take place on 6-7 November and is being held as part of the World Travel Market in London.

WTS will cover a wide range of topics, including a discussion on how the emergence of millennial and Chinese travellers is expected to transform the wellness travel market.

Speakers include Jean-Claude Baumgarten, former president of the World Travel & Tourism Council, and Sue Harmsworth, founder of ESPA International.

Baumgarten will give a keynote speech on 6 November, offering his insight into how the wellness travel landscape and consumer profiles are changing.

“We’re bringing a line-up of true travel and spa luminaries to the WTM this year to shine a light on the latest research, trends and best practices in the wellness travel space,” said Susie Ellis, GWI chair and CEO.

“The symposium will be squarely focused on the future of wellness tourism, so attendees will have actionable, expert info to help them maximize the opportunities this explosive market offers.”
